In this article we will formulate a Vegas Golden Knights vs St. Louis Blues prediction for this NHL game on Friday, October 11th at T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada. Let’s take a look at the prediction for this NHL matchup.

Vegas Golden Knights Betting Preview

The Vegas Golden Knights are 1-0-0 this year after they defeated Colorado by a score of 8-4 in their first game. Vegas fell behind 1-0 in the first period, but they answered with three goals and took a 3-1 lead into the intermissions. The Golden Knights took a 5-3 lead into the third period, but their lead was cut to 5-4, before they finished the game by scoring three straight goals. Vegas was out shot by a total of 32-21, recorded 15 hits, and went 2-3 on the power play in the game. Stone, Olofsson, and Barbashev led the way with two goals each in the game, while Hill stopped 28 out of 32 shots.

Vegas looked very good offensively in their first game, but they will want to clean up some of their defensive play. The Golden Knights allowed four goals, but considering it was against Colorado, it isn’t the end of the world.

St. Louis Blues Betting Preview

The St. Louis Blues opened the season with a 3-2 win over Seattle and they are playing against the Sharks late on Thursday night. In that first win against Seattle, St. Louis fell down 2-0 in the second period, before scoring three unanswered goals for the win. The Blues were out shot by a total of 32-25, recorded 28 hits, and went 1-2 on the power play in the game. Kyrou scored two goals and added three shots on goal, while Broberg added another goal. Jordan Binnington stopped 30 out of 32 shots in the victory, which was good for a .938 save percentage.

St. Louis started the game against Seattle pretty slow, but they really got going once they fell down 2-0 in the second period. The Blues offense is going to be a concern at times this season, but I really like Binnington in goal.

Vegas Golden Knights vs St. Louis Blues Prediction

Both of these teams picked up a win in their first game of the season, but St. Louis will be on a back to back after playing in San Jose on Thursday night. One positive for St. Louis is that Hofer is starting in net on Thursday, which means Binnington should be ready to go for this game. Vegas is the better team from top to bottom, but that defensive performance is cause for concern. The Blues are a much lower scoring team than Colorado is and with Binnington in net for St. Louis, I think we are going to see a lower scoring game. Take the under here.
