Tennessee Titans head coach Brian Callahan hasn’t given up on Will Levis as his team’s starting quarterback just yet.

Levis arguably had the worst Week 4 outing of anyone in the entire NFL.

The second-year QB threw an interception on his opening drive against the Miami Dolphins at Hard Rock Stadium in Miami, Fla. Levis didn’t even get a chance to redeem himself as he suffered a shoulder injury on the very next drive.

With backup Mason Rudolph in place of Levis, the Titans scored a season-high 31 points and snagged their first win of 2024. It was the first time Tennessee has scored more than 17 points this season.

Levis was able to return to the Titans’ sideline during the contest but was not reinserted into the game. He finished 3/4 for 25 yards with 1 interception.

During his postgame press conference, Callahan was asked about Levis’ status as the team’s starter going forward.

“If Will is healthy, he’s our quarterback,” affirmed Callahan. “It was not a decision based on anything other than his health and protecting him.”

Callahan added that with the Titans headed for a bye week, Levis would be able to get extra recovery time before taking the field again.

The Titans coach was asked something similar about Levis after Tennessee’s Week 3 loss to the Green Bay Packers. Levis hasn’t done anything to silence his doubters since then.

Callahan may remain committed to Levis for now. But the same questions will be asked if Levis continues to underperform.

Look no further than Panthers head coach Dave Canales, who had expressed full support for Bryce Young days before benching him.
