Chicago Cubs vs. Los Angeles Dodgers

Wednesday, September 11, 2024 – 10:10 PM ET at Dodger Stadium

The AI Model projects that the Dodgers and Cubs will combine for only 8.3 runs in tonight’s game. However, the total is currently sitting at 9. The Under is certainly the play in this one.

Give Jordan Wicks Credit!

The Chicago Cubs will send out left-hander Jordan Wicks for tonight’s game against the Dodgers. Wicks doesn’t earn a high rate of strikeouts. However, he’s held his last 40 batters to a .056 ISO and wOBA of .288. He’s also induced 46.9% of ground balls and has limited fly balls and line drives below 25% over the last 30 days.

He’ll take on a difficult Dodgers lineup. However, Los Angeles has only hit a .152 ISO and wOBA of .317 against lefties over the last month. That’s nothing to write home about. Wicks should control the Dodgers in this start.

Can Bobby Miller Turn It Around?

The Dodgers will give the ball to Bobby Miller. The young righty has struggled with a high ISO and wOBA. But at least he’s added 23.3% of strikeouts and has limited walks to 7.8%.

If he continues to put up these types of numbers, the luck will eventually be on his side.

After all, the Cubs’ bottom portion of the lineup has low ISO and wOBA numbers, high strikeouts, and low walks. That should also help Miller get back on track.
