Matt Waldron Should Be OK

The Padres will send out Matt Waldron in today’s battle against the Diamondbacks. While Waldron hasn’t been elite, he’s held righties to a .141 ISO and wOBA of .294.

Arizona will have more righties than lefties in the starting lineup. Since last year, it has only hit a .169 ISO and wOBA of .325 against righties, so there’s nothing to get super excited about.

San Diego’s Lineup Still Isn’t Great

It’s great that the Padres added Luis Arraez to the lineup. However, San Diego’s lineup has still only hit a .145 ISO and wOBA of .331 against righties since last season.

They’ll take on Ryne Nelson of the Diamondbacks, who has struck out 26.3% of righties to begin the year. That’s ideal since the Padres will probably have more righties than lefties in their lineup as well.
