Arizona Cardinals star Kyler Murray is eligible to come off the physically unable-to-perform list and while he will be welcomed back to the team with open arms, there are now questions on how long that may actually last.

Murray is working toward getting back on the field this season, but the Arizona Cardinals still have a long-term decision to make with the 26-year-old quarterback.

ESPN’s Dan Graziano reported on Friday that there’s a belief that the Cardinals are undecided at this point about what they want to do with Murray:

Graziano further added the vast majority of front-office people from around the league he spoke with said “It would be difficult to imagine a team giving the Cardinals something of value for Murray if they didn’t know for a fact he was healthy, and that the only way to know for sure about his health would be to see him play at least a few games this season.”

The Patriots, Jets, Titans, Raiders, Broncos, Commanders, Cowboys, Bears, Lions, Vikings, Buccaneers, and Falcons were identified as teams to watch.

Graziano points out that Murray returning to form on the field bodes well for either direction as they can ultimately decide to stay with him and he remains healthy to show he’s still got to get teams interested in him.

The two-time Pro Bowl quarterback threw for 2,368 yards over 11 games in 2022, but he was sidelined with an injury for the final six games of the regular season.
