There is a belief around the league that the Buffalo Bills could be aggressive in trying to move up in the first round of the NFL Draft to land an impact player for 2023.

The 2022 season had a lot of positives for the Buffalo Bills to hang their hats on but also included a great deal of frustration. While they were one of the elite teams in the league throughout the season, they were unable to reach their ultimate goal and get to the Super Bowl.

Injuries to key players like Von Miller and Josh Allen surely had an impact, but it just seems like they are a couple of key players short of competing with the likes of the Kansas City Chiefs and Cincinnati Bengals at the top of the AFC. That is why some believe the organization could look to move up on day one of the 2023 NFL Draft.

On a Monday edition of the “Establish The Run” podcast, NFL Media draft analyst Lance Zierlein explained why he believes “Buffalo could aggressively move up for somebody” in the first round of the event because the Buffalo Bills can “smell the Super Bowl.”

The idea of the Bills moving up from their pick at 27 and into the teens does make a lot of sense, and after doing very little in NFL free agency, it almost seems necessary. With that in mind, let’s look at three players Buffalo could target in a trade-up in the NFL Draft.

Bijan Robinson, Texas running back

The obvious player that would be worth moving up to snag is Texas star running back Bijan Robinson. He is universally seen as the top back in this year’s class and could fall to the back of the top 20, which would be a perfect place for the Buffalo Bills to trade up to.

Buffalo has lacked a game-changer RB for years and finding one to take their offense to scary levels makes a lot of sense. However, new rumors suggest the Philadelphia Eagles may take him at 10, so the Bills might need to make a very big jump to get him or hope they get lucky.
