New York Yankees ace Gerrit Cole has yet to consider whether to opt out of his contract following the 2024 season.

"I'll have more years (on the contract) then, and at some point, there's probably some math involved," Cole said Monday, according to Dan Martin of the New York Post.

He added, "(The opt-out is) in there. Both sides agreed to it, so it's in there."

Cole can opt out of the last four years and $144 million of the record nine-year, $324-million pact he inked with the Yankees ahead of the 2020 season.
