Maryland coach Mike Locksley finalized his coaching staff Thursday, hiring former Miami offensive coordinator Josh Gattis to serve as the Terps’ new offensive coordinator and quarterbacks coach, the program announced. Here’s what you need to know:

Miami parted with Gattis in January after he served one season on the Hurricanes’ staff.

He worked alongside Locksley at Alabama in 2018 before joining Michigan’s staff from 2019 to 2021.

Gattis, who has also had coaching stints with Western Kentucky, Vanderbilt and Penn State, won the Broyles Award as the top college assistant while at Michigan in 2021.
