It can be said that draft capital is the currency of the modern NBA. Take a moment to think about it. Whenever a player is rumored to be available, the same thing is said every time.

There is always the report that their team has received an offer for X number of first-round picks as part of the deal to acquire him.

You can take a look at OG Anunoby of the Toronto Raptors as an example. At the time of the trade deadline, it was widely reported that he could be had for the price of three unprotected first-round picks.

Despite this, the Raptors decided to hold on to the 3-and-D wing. If they don’t want draft capital, what should they do?

Could the Raptors be enticed by a package that more heavily features players that they could use right now in order to attract them to the team?

If that is the case, here is a deal they could accept that would send Anunoby to the Atlanta Hawks.

Toronto Raptors Receive: F De’Andre Hunter, F/C Onyeka Onkongwu, G/F Jalen Johnson, 2024 First-Round Pick (SAC via ATL)

Atlanta Hawks Receive: F OG Anunoby
