New York is a city of stars. Some of the biggest names in the world reside in the Big Apple. That hasn’t been the case in the NBA for a while, though.

Perhaps that’s why the New York Knicks are always linked to star players. Yet, for one reason or another, they seldom acquire them.

This trade deadline was no exception. Sure, the Knicks acquired Josh Hart. That was a very solid acquisition that the team is likely to be glad they made.

With that said, Hart isn’t exactly a star. The Knicks were widely linked to bigger fish.

It wouldn’t come as a shock if they pursued them this summer.

For example, here’s a deal that lands them Zach LaVine of the Chicago Bulls.

Chicago Bulls Receive: G Derrick Rose, G/F R.J. Barrett, F Obi Toppin, 2025 First-Round Pick (NYK). 2026 First-Round Pick (Swap – NYK)
