Happy Super Bowl Sunday, Pickswise Nation. The big day is finally here, so whether you’re a Chiefs or Eagles fan or just hoping for a great game, let’s all make the most of the NFL before it disappears from our screens for 7 months. The other sports have provided plenty of action to get us warmed up for the big game, with NBA, NHL, college basketball and EPL soccer today, so let’s get straight to making your next bet better.

About Last Night

Total domination in the NBA continues
Our handicappers seem to really have their finger on where the points will be scored in the NBA at the moment, going 6-3 on totals on Saturday, taking our run on over/unders to 32-15 over the past 6 days! We also went 5-3-1 on sides. D’Angelo Russell made an impressive return to the Lakers as they beat the Warriors 109-103, while the 76ers overcame the Nets 101-98 and the Kings beat the Mavericks 133-128 in overtime.

Capitals beat the Bruins
The Bruins have the best record in the NHL at 39-8-5 but they lost 2-1 at home to the Washington Capitals yesterday, while the Rangers beat the Hurricanes 6-2 and the Lightning saw off the Stars 3-1.

Losses for Arizona and Tennessee
The college hoops upsets keep coming, with #4 Arizona losing to Stanford on Saturday, while Missouri stunned #6 Tennessee 86-85 with a buzzer-beating 3-pointer.

Today’s Slate

Who ya got – Chiefs or Eagles?
There’s only one game left in the NFL season, it’s today and it could be one for the ages. The Kansas City Chiefs take on the Philadelphia Eagles in Arizona at 6.30pm ET on FOX.

Grizzlies vs Celtics on ABC
The NBA has done a pretty good job of getting headlines during the build-up to the Super Bowl, but its largely letting football have its big day today, with just a 2-games slate. Grizzlies vs Celtics is being shown on ABC at 2:00 pm ET, while the Pistons play the Raptors an hour later.

There’s college basketball and soccer, too
It’s a quieter day of college hoops after yesterday’s shocks, but Michigan State vs Ohio State and Purdue vs Northwestern are among the top matchups. We also have soccer picks for today’s EPL games, which include Aston Villa vs Manchester City on USA Network at 11:30 am ET.

Best Bet of the Day

NFL: Over 50.5 points in Super Bowl 57: Chiefs vs Eagles
6:30 pm ET, FOX

Even with a bad ankle, Patrick Mahomes managed to move the ball pretty well against the Jaguars and Bengals and he should be much closer to being healthy now. This Eagles defense is being overestimated solely because it hasn’t been tested at all recently. The last time the Eagles faced a competent offense, they gave up 40 points to the Cowboys. The Eagles have scored at least 31 in each of their playoff games, and they’ve scored at least 31 in 6 of their past 9 overall. Kansas City hasn’t put up fewer than 23 points in a game since November 6.
