Mitch Trubisky will start at quarterback for the Pittsburgh Steelers when they play the Carolina Panthers on Sunday, the team announced Saturday.

Starting passer Kenny Pickett remains in concussion protocol after leaving last week’s game against the Baltimore Ravens. He was ruled out of this weekend’s matchup after initially being listed as doubtful on Friday.

The 28-year-old Trubisky split first-team reps with Mason Rudolph during practice sessions leading up to the weekend.
