About Last Night
Magics conjure up an upset of Celtics
Our only 3-star NBA play on Friday’s slate of Nets -1.5 cashed as Brooklyn beat Toronto 119-116. Another of our winning picks was Magics +14 against the Celtics, but they didn’t need any of those points as they pulled off the upset, winning 117-109.
Solid day in the NHL
We went 2-1 with picks on the 3-game NHL slate, including a +170 win on the Blues ML as they beat the Flames 5-2.
College football parlay cashes at +738 odds
If the college football bowl season continues as it started, we are in for a treat! The opening contest, the Bahamas Bowl, went down to the final play as UAB stopped Miami (Ohio) at the 2-yard line to hang on for a 24-20 win. Troy covered in an 18-12 win over UTSA in the later game.
College hoops parlay cashes
We went 2-0 on our college basketball picks on Friday and also combined those picks of Marquette -4 and the over in Xavier vs Georgetown for a +265 odds parlay.

There’s college basketball and UFC too

Best Bet of the Day
NHL: Edmonton Oilers -1.5 over Anaheim Ducks
4:00 pm ET, ESPN+
The Ducks are still allowing the most goals and shots per game and such poor defensive statistics are a perfect recipe for a team that has Connor McDavid and Leon Draisaitl, the top pointscorers in the NHL. McDavid recorded 8 points across 3 games against the Ducks last season and should help the Oilers bounce back from their loss on Thursday. Anaheim kept the first meeting close last year, but the next 2 were wins for the Oilers by 7-3 and 6-1. Even the Coyotes have been better than the Ducks this season, and Edmonton smashed them 8-2 just over a week ago.
