Parity is something plenty of NBA fans want to see. They may never get their wish. 

Somehow, some NBA franchises just stand apart from the rest. Using whatever combination of market size, brand recognition, and general competency, some teams will always rise to the top. 

For example, the Golden State Warriors have been the best organization in basketball for the better part of 10 years. In total, they’ve got 4 championships to show for it. It’s hard to argue that anyone rivals the Warriors as an organization.

If anyone does, it could be the Miami Heat. Generally speaking, they’ve been consistently successful for a long time as well.

With that said, they’ve been fairly disappointing to begin 2022-23.
