The Columbus Blue Jackets will be looking to rebound from a 4-0 loss to the Boston Bruins in their last game. Johnny Gaudreau has a team-high 8 points with a team-high 5 goals and 3 assists while Jakub Voracek, Jack Roslovic, Kent Johnson and Yegor Chinakhov each have 5 points with Voracek logging a team-high 5 assists while Roslovic and Chinakhov each have 4 assists and Johnson has 3 goals and a pair of assists. Elvis Merzlikins has gone 2-3 with a 4.31 GAA and an .863 save percentage while Daniil Tarasov has gone 1-3 with a 3.57 GAA and an .857 save percentage in goal for Columbus this year.

The New Jersey Devils will look to build on a 1-0 win over the Colorado Avalanche from their last game. Jesper Bratt leads the Devils with a team-high 10 assists as part of his 13 points while Nico Hischier has logged 7 points with 3 goals and 4 assists. Dougie Hamilton has 7 points as well with a pair of goals and 5 assists while Jack Hughes has 6 points with 3 goals and 3 assists. Mackenzie Blackwood has gone 3-2 with a 2.81 GAA and an .871 save percentage while Vitek Vanecek is 2-1 with a 2.40 GAA and an .889 save percentage of his own this season.

Columbus is 8-20 in their last 28 games overall and 18-42 in their last 60 games against a team with a winning record while the over is 38-18-1 in their last 57 games against a team with a winning record. New Jersey is 3-10 in their last 13 home games and 25-53 in their last 78 games overall while the over is 7-1 in their last 8 games against the Eastern Conference.

I get why the Devils are favored at home here, but I’m not looking to lay this price with the Devils period. They’re playing well, but the regression monster is looming for the Devils as this team just isn’t built for long term success. Columbus has also owned a lot of the recent history against the Devils so I’ll take a stab at the Blue Jackets and the plus money here.
