The Colorado State Rams and the Nevada Wolf Pack meet in a week 6 Mountain West conference college football matchup from Mackay Stadium on Friday night.

The Colorado State Rams will be looking for their first win of the year after falling to 0-4 with a 41-10 loss at the hands of FCS Sacramento State last time out. Clay Millen’s thrown for 667 yards, 5 touchdowns and 4 interceptions on 73.9% passing while A’Jon Vivens has rushed for a team-high 107 yards this season. Tory Horton leads Colorado State’s receiving group with 23 catches for 427 yards and 5 touchdowns this season. On defense, Jack Howell leads the Rams with 45 total tackles and 3 interceptions while Mohamed Kamara has 4 sacks and C.J. Onyechi also has 2.5 sacks this season.

The Nevada Wolf Pack will try to bounce back after falling to 2-3 on the year with a 3rd straight defeat after a 48-20 loss to Air Force last time out. Nate Cox has thrown for 502 yards and a pair of touchdowns on 56.8% passing while Toa Taua leads Nevada in rushing with 350 rushing yards and 5 touchdowns. Devonte Lee also has 193 rushing yards and 4 scores while Jamaal Bell has 20 catches for 181 yards to lead Nevada’s receiving corps this season. On defense, Tyson Williams leads the Wolf Pack with 32 total tackles including a team-high 21 solo tackles while Bentlee Sanders has a team-high 4 interceptions and Dom Peterson has 4 sacks to lead the Wolf Pack defense this season.

Colorado State is 1-10 ATS in their last 11 games overall and 0-5 ATS in their last 5 road games while the over is 4-0 in their last 4 conference games. Nevada is 1-4 ATS in their last 5 home games and 7-3 ATS in their last 10 games following a loss while the over is 4-0 in their last 4 games against a team with a losing record.

I get that laying points with Nevada isn’t the easiest thing to stomach given their form over the last few games. However, it’s worth noting that the last couple of weeks, Nevada’s played some tough, tough competition in Air Force and Iowa, but they’ve handled the lesser teams that they played early on like New Mexico State and Texas State. Colorado State had a tough schedule in spots themselves, but getting blown out by Sacramento State’s a new low. Give me the Wolf Pack to win this one by at least a touchdown.
