The Baltimore Orioles and the Toronto Blue Jays meet in an AL East division matchup in MLB action from Rogers Centre on Friday night.

The Baltimore Orioles will look to build up some momentum after their 6-2 win over the Nationals in Wednesday’s matchup. Anthony Santander has a team-high 27 home runs and 79 RBIs. Austin Hays also has 119 hits with 32 doubles, 55 RBIs and a .249 batting average as well on the year. Cedric Mullins also has 142 hits with 30 doubles, 14 homers and 55 RBIs as well this season. Ryan Mountcastle also has 22 home runs and 79 RBIs as well this season. Jordan Lyles will start here and is 10-10 with a 4.62 ERA and 124 strikeouts this season.

The Toronto Blue Jays will try to bounce back after an 11-0 loss to Tampa Bay in Thursday’s series finale. Bo Bichette has 166 hits including 41 doubles, 24 home runs and 88 RBIs while Vladimir Guerrero Jr. has 158 hits and 28 home runs with 84 RBIs and George Springer has 20 home runs with 60 RBIs as well this season. Santiago Espinal has 118 hits with 25 doubles and a .269 batting average while Lourdes Gurriel Jr. has 32 doubles on the year. The Blue Jays did not have a starting pitcher announced at the time that this article was posted.

Baltimore is 4-1 in their last 5 road games while the under is 5-1 in their last 6 games overall. Toronto is 11-4 in their last 15 games overall while the under is 4-2 in their last 6 games overall.

I get the reasoning for backing either side here, but I’m leaning towards the over here. Toronto’s offense failed to show up on Thursday, but I think they’ll come to play here knowing that it’s likely a bullpen game on their side and the Achilles heel of this Jays team this season has been their bullpen. On the other side, I expect the Orioles to come to bat themselves and all in all, I think this is a higher-scoring affair, so give me the over here.
