The Toronto Blue Jays and the New York Yankees meet in an AL East division matchup in MLB action from Yankee Stadium on Sunday afternoon.

The Toronto Blue Jays will look to complete the sweep of the Yankees after a 5-2 win over New York in Saturday’s matchup. Bo Bichette has 123 hits including 28 doubles, 17 home runs and 64 RBIs while Vladimir Guerrero Jr. has a team-high 130 hits and 26 home runs with 75 RBIs and George Springer has 18 home runs with 51 RBIs as well this season. Santiago Espinal has 105 hits with 23 doubles and a .271 batting average while Lourdes Gurriel Jr. has 28 doubles on the year. Alek Manoah will start here and is 12-6 with a 2.71 ERA and 131 strikeouts this season.

The New York Yankees will try to bounce back after a disappointing showing in Saturday’s matchup. Aaron Judge leads the Yankees with 46 home runs and 102 RBIs along with 129 hits and a .295 batting average in addition to 20 doubles while Gleyber Torres has 21 doubles and DJ LeMahieu has 18 doubles of his own. Anthony Rizzo also has 19 doubles so far this season, in addition to logging 28 home runs and 68 RBIs. Nestor Cortes Jr. will start here and is 9-4 with a 2.74 ERA and 128 strikeouts this season.

Toronto is 3-7 in their last 10 games against a left-handed starter and 4-1 in their last 5 Sunday games while the under is 4-1 in their last 5 games overall. New York is 39-17 in their last 56 home games and 1-4 in their last 5 games following a loss while the under is 6-1-1 in their last 8 games following a loss.

I get the case to be made either way in this one, but the problem I have here is that the Yankees are a disaster right now and there’s really nothing that this team can do right at the moment. Nestor Cortes is a solid arm, but he’s had issues in his last couple of starts and I just think that this is a complete momentum spot for the Blue Jays. Give me Toronto in this one.
