The Toronto Raptors surprised a lot of people with how well they played during the 2021-22 NBA season. Many presumed they were heading toward a rebuild after Kyle Lowry decided to leave for the Miami Heat last offseason, but they proved their doubters wrong.

Toronto thrived last season, earning the No. 5 seed in the Eastern Conference. Nick Nurse did a wonderful job scheming to the strengths of the roster.

Loaded with length and athleticism, the Raptors suffocated teams with an aggressive, fast-paced defense.

They found a lot of success in the regular season, but come the playoffs, their lack of size did hurt them. The Philadelphia 76ers dominated the interior with ease with the size advantage that they possessed.

That hasn’t stopped the Raptors from continuing to add more long, versatile players to the roster this offseason. Otto Porter Jr. was their biggest free agent acquisition and they were also in the running for the Kevin Durant sweepstakes.

Loaded up with assets, the Raptors have the means to make a blockbuster trade. Another team they have been connected to is the Utah Jazz. Toronto has been one of the teams connected to Donovan Mitchell and could put together a very competitive offer for him.

What could that offer be? Let’s take a look at a hypothetical trade package that results in Mitchell heading north of the border.
