In the NBA and all professional sports, nothing negatively impacts the game like an injury.

We can all agree on that. Even in the playoffs, there’s no joy in watching the opposing team lose one of their best players. At least, for most of us, there isn’t.

If you feel differently, we’re quietly judging you.

Most of us want a clean victory. After all, the opposing team will remind you of the injury that cost them the game, or series, for years after.

Unfortunately, Anthony Davis looks like he’s going to frequently be putting the Los Angeles Lakers in that position for years to come.

Unless, of course, they trade him. Here’s a trade that has the Lakers sending him to the Sacramento Kings.

Los Angeles Lakers Receive: F Harrison Barnes, C Richaun Holmes, G Davion Mitchell

Sacramento Kings Receive: F/C Anthony Davis

One of the many other downsides to injuries in professional sports is that they can impact trade value. Of course, they can impact performance as well – and nothing impacts trade value like performance.
