After a magical second season with the Golden State Warriors, Andrew Wiggins is lined up for a big contract extension with the Dubs. This time, however, he has earned his deal, unlike the last time he re-signed with the Minnesota Timberwolves, who gave him a contract on expectations.

Wiggs found his place in the world in San Francisco and he hopes to continue playing with the Warriors for so many years. However, that possibility could end quickly if one NBA executive's words are to believe. Even though Wiggs has been a great addition for the Dubs, one person recently claimed that they could look to move him away given how coveted he is after the 2021/22 NBA season.

Talking with Sean Deveney of Heavy, this anonymous executive explains that the Warriors won't move him right now, but they know that Wiggins can bring a big return if they decided to part ways.

“Obviously, they are not going to move him now, off of a championship where he was such a big contributor,” said the exec. “But he is at his maximum value right now. It would be the right time to trade him, just, they can’t really do that.”
