The Washington Nationals and the Baltimore Orioles meet in MLB action from Camden Yards on Tuesday.

The Washington Nationals will look to build on their 9-3 win in Sunday’s series finale against Philadelphia that snapped an eight-game losing streak. Cesar Hernandez has 76 hits with 15 doubles while Josh Bell also has 73 hits, 10 doubles and 44 RBIs with a .294 batting average. Maikel Franco also has 68 hits and 15 doubles of his own while Juan Soto has 12 doubles with a team-high 14 home runs. Keibert Ruiz also has 12 doubles and Nelson Cruz has 37 RBIs as well this season. Erick Fedde will get the start here and is 4-5 with a 4.88 ERA and 51 strikeouts this season.

The Baltimore Orioles will look to build on their series win over Tampa Bay, taking the finale by a final score of 2-1 last time out. Trey Mancini has 64 hits and a .283 batting average while Anthony Santander has a team-high 12 home runs and 35 RBIs. Austin Hays also has team-highs of 67 hits with 15 doubles, 37 RBIs and a .280 batting average as well on the year. Cedric Mullins also has 67 hits with 16 doubles, 6 homers and 26 RBIs as well this season. Ryan Mountcastle also has 12 home runs and 36 RBIs as well this season. The Orioles did not have a starting pitcher announced at the time that this article was posted.

Washington is 1-8 in their last 9 games overall and 6-15 in their last 21 road games while the over is 6-2 in their last 8 games overall. Baltimore is 4-2 in their last 6 games overall and 4-2 in their last 6 home games while the over is 7-2 in their last 9 games overall.

I get the reasoning for backing the Nationals here as the Orioles haven’t been very good as expected this season, but the issue that I’m having with Washington is that the Nationals, outside of guys like Juan Soto, aren’t anything special themselves, and I really don’t like what Erick Fedde’s putting out for the Nationals themselves this year. I think this is a spot where the Orioles could nab themselves a win as more of a straight fade of Erick Fedde than anything else. Give me the O’s here.
