To truly compete for the NBA championship, the Dallas Mavericks may need a Bradley Beal type. On the other hand, to truly compete for the NBA championship, the Washington Wizards may need a Luka Doncic type.

Which team do you think will have an easier time acquiring the player they need?

Bradley Beal is an outstanding scoring guard, but he appears underqualified to lead a team to serious title contention. That’s not a knock: very few players in the NBA are talented enough to do that.

Luka Doncic might be, but even he’ll need a co-star. That became readily apparent when his Mavericks were eliminated by the star-studded Golden State Warriors in the Western Conference Finals this season.

If they were able to land Beal, the results may be different in 2022-23.

Here are three deals that allow them to find out.
