No one expected the Cincinnati Bengals to win the AFC last season. Many thought that they would be much improved, and could even make a run at a playoff spot, but it was a shock that the Bengals represented the AFC in the Super Bowl. Although they didn’t win the game, they nearly upset the Rams and became one of the most unlikely Super Bowl winners of all time.

Even with a porous offensive line and a defense that was questionable at times, Joe Burrow led the Bengals to the Super Bowl. Burrow will be behind an improved offensive line this season, so we could see an even better Bengals team this year. Let’s have a closer look at the Bengals and what lies ahead for them so you can bet against their NFL Team Totals odds.

Cincinnati Bengals: A Surprise No More! | NFL Betting

How Many Wins Should We Expect From the Bengals?

The AFC is loaded this season, and the oddsmakers have taken that into consideration. They’ve predicted 9.5 wins for the Bengals this season. We’ll see if they can overtake that number, or if they’ll fall short. If they want to make the playoffs, it’s probably going to take at least 10 wins.

And Their Opponents!

In Week 1, they open up at home against their divisional foes, the Pittsburgh Steelers. The Steelers will have a new quarterback under center this season. They’ll take a Week 2 trip to “Jerry World” to take on the Dallas Cowboys. This one should be full of offense.

In Week 3 they head to New Jersey to take on the New York Jets. That game will be followed by a visit from the Miami Dolphins on Thursday Night Football. In Week 5, they’ll head to Baltimore for a key divisional matchup. This one will be a big one, as this will be the Sunday Night Football game of the week. In Week 6, they’ll be on the road again, as they head to the “Big Easy” to take on the New Orleans Saints.

Week 7 will bring the Falcons to Cincinnati. In Week 8, we’ll have the Battle for Ohio on Halloween night as the Bengals head to the Dawg Pound. This will be the Monday night game. The Carolina Panthers will head to Cincinnati for a Week 9 game. Week 10 will be Cincinnati’s bye week. That will be followed by a trip to Pittsburgh for a Sunday night affair.

In Week 12, The Bengals will begin a season-ending stretch that is one of the toughest stretches of games in the league this season. Cincinnati will head to Nashville to take on the Tennessee Titans. Tennessee shouldn’t be as strong as they were last season, after losing some key pieces from last year’s team. Week 13 will see a matchup of two of the top young quarterbacks in the league as Burrow will welcome Patrick Mahomes and the Chiefs to Cincinnati.

It doesn’t get any easier in Week 14, as the Browns come to town. If Deshaun Watson is available to play, the Browns will be very tough. The Bengals tough stretch continues in Week 15, as the Bengals head to sunny Florida to take on Tom Brady and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Week 16 will see them head to New England on Christmas Eve to take on the Patriots. They’ll finish their brutal run of games in Week 17 as they play host to the Buffalo Bills in the final regular season game on Monday Night Football.
