The Miami Marlins and the Colorado Rockies meet in MLB action from Coors Field on Monday.

The Miami Marlins come into this one on the heels of a 6-3 loss to Atlanta in their last game. Jesus Sanchez has 31 hits along with 3 triples, 4 home runs, 13 RBIs and a .215 batting average. Jazz Chisholm Jr. has 7 doubles and 4 triples as well as 7 home runs and 27 RBIs as well this season. Jorge Soler has 7 doubles with 11 home runs of his own and Garrett Cooper has 11 doubles while Brian Anderson has 9 doubles of his own and Joey Wendle has 6 doubles and a .279 batting average. Jesus Aguilar also has a team-high 41 hits of his own this season. Pablo Lopez will start here and is 4-2 with a 2.04 ERA and 56 strikeouts this season.

The Colorado Rockies will look to rebound from a 6-5 loss to Washington in their last matchup. Connor Joe has 47 hits and a .272 batting average with 6 doubles, 4 home runs and 2 triples. C.J. Cron has 57 hits with 10 doubles, a triple, a team-high 13 home runs and 37 RBIs while Ryan McMahon has 10 doubles and Charlie Blackmon has 39 hits with 7 home runs and 22 RBIs of his own up to this point in the season for the Rockies. Randal Grichuk also has 5 home runs and 25 RBIs as well this season. Jose Iglesias also has 10 doubles of his own and a .317 batting average on the year. Ryan Feltner will start this one and is 0-1 with a 5.40 ERA and 14 strikeouts this season.

Miami is 6-18 in their last 24 games against the NL West and 22-55 in their last 77 road games while the under is 4-1 in their last 5 road games against a team with a losing record. Colorado is 2-5 in their last 7 home games and 1-4 in their last 5 games overall while the over is 4-0 in their last 4 home games against a team with a losing record.

I get the reasoning for backing the Rockies as a home underdog. However, the Rockies just aren’t playing well right now and Ryan Feltner is not the pitcher I envision being a stopper to try to right the ship for Colorado. Miami has one of their best on the mound in Pablo Lopez and I truthfully think this line is very telling. Give me Miami here.
