The Dallas Stars and the Calgary Flames meet in game seven of their first round NHL playoff series in action from Scotiabank Saddledome on Sunday.

The Dallas Stars will look to win the series after forcing a game seven with a 4-2 win over the Flames from game six last time out. Joe Pavelski has a team-high 3 goals and 5 total points while while Roope Hintz has 4 points split between 2 goals and 2 assists. Michael Raffl and Tyler Seguin each have 3 points with 2 goals and an assist while Miro Heiskanen and Jason Robertson each have a goal and two helpers. Jake Oettinger has made all six starts in goal for Dallas between the pipes, going 3-3 with a .954 save percentage and a 1.69 GAA so far this postseason.

The Calgary Flames will look to rebound after failing to close out the series in their last game. Johnny Gaudreau leads the Flames in scoring with 6 points including a team-high 5 assists while Elias Lindholm and Mikael Backlund each have 4 points with 3 goals and an assist. Matthew Tkachuk also has 4 assists of his own this postseason. Jacob Markstrom has gone 3-3 with a .945 save percentage and a 1.52 GAA in three starts this postseason.

I get the reasoning for backing either side here as this has been a back and forth series and in game seven, neither side will really want to give an inch or be the first to make a mistake. But I think the value is with the Stars and the plus money here or even the +1.5. The Stars are the more experienced team and are used to dealing with playoff type games like this, the high-pressure spots where it’s win or go home and I think this is a one goal win for the Flames at best if the Stars don’t win this game outright. I expect this one to be highly competitive so give me Dallas +1.5.
