The Ottawa Senators and the Philadelphia Flyers meet in NHL action from the Wells Fargo Center on Friday night.

The Ottawa Senators will look to bounce back from a 4-0 loss at the hands of the Florida Panthers in their last game. Brady Tkachuk leads the Sens in scoring with 65 points including 29 goals and 36 assists while Drake Batherson has 44 points with 27 assists and Josh Norris has 54 points with a team-high 34 goals on the year. Tim Stutzle also has 57 points with 22 goals and 35 assists. Anton Forsberg is 21-17-4 with a 2.84 GAA and a .916 save percentage this season for Ottawa in goal.

The Philadelphia Flyers will look to bounce back from a 4-0 loss at the hands of the Winnipeg Jets last time out. Travis Konecny leads the Flyers in scoring with 52 points including a team-high 36 assists while Cam Atkinson has 50 points with a team-high 23 goals and 27 assists. James van Riemsdyk also has 23 goals as well for Philly this season. Carter Hart’s gone 13-24-7 with a 3.16 GAA and a .905 save percentage in goal for the Flyers while Martin Jones has gone 12-17-3 with a 3.43 GAA and a .900 save percentage this season.

Ottawa is 4-0 in their last 4 games against a team with a losing record and 52-127 in their last 179 road games while the over is 3-0-1 in their last 4 games played on no rest. Philadelphia is 1-5 in their last 6 home games and 1-6 in their last 7 games as a favorite while the over is 6-1 in their last 7 games following a loss by 3 or more goals.

I suppose home ice counts for something in the line, but I have no idea why the Flyers would be favored here aside from the Senators being on the back-to-back here. Philadelphia’s been god awful for much of 2022 if not all of 2022 and maybe even the back end of 2021, while the Senators have provided value here and there and will do so here even if it’s a fade of the Flyers more than anything else.
