PSG assembled one of the best attacking trios in the world this summer. Neymar and Kylian Mbappe were already there, but they were joined by Lionel Messi.

Though they looked unbeatable on paper, the field uttered a different story for PSG. They were knocked out of the Champions League by Real Madrid in the Round of 16 by Karim Benzema’s 17-minute hat trick. After the game, Neymar reportedly almost had a fight with Gianluigi Donnarumma, casting even more doubt on his future with PSG.

If the Brazilian striker indeed leaves Paris, here are his three most optimal landing spots.

Best destinations for Neymar

Barcelona

When he left Barcelona in 2017, Neymar apparently did it to escape Messi’s shadow. It turns out that Messi’s shadow doesn’t loom so large, though, as Neymar produced his most European success with the Argentine in Catalonia. Apparently, he missed Barcelona so much that he pushed heavily in 2019 to return to Spain amid a lot of internal drama with PSG.
