When San Diego Padres shortstop Fernando Tatis Jr. signed off on his 14-year, $340 million agreement last year, all eyes were on just when the rest of MLB’s young stars would also finalize mega contract extension deals as well, including Toronto Blue Jays first baseman Vladimir Guerrero Jr.

Guerrero is under team control for four more seasons with the Blue Jays, including the upcoming 2022 campaign. He is set to earn a base salary of $8 million, which will then be followed by three more arbitration years.

Guerrero was recently asked on Instagram whether he has been offered a mega, long-term contract extension offer from Blue Jays officials. His response was short and straightforward.
