The Colorado Avalanche (36-10-4) travel to meet the Detroit Red Wings (23-22-6) Tuesday at Little Caesars Arena. Puck drop is scheduled for 7:30 p.m. ET (ESPN+). Below, we look at the Avalanche vs. Red Wings odds and lines, and make our expert NHL picks, predictions and bets.

Colorado was stunned by the Boston Bruins 5-1 Monday. Boston floored it with 21 shots in the first period and finished with 45 on the night. The Avs should enter this one with a chip on their shoulder as they became the final team to enter the double-digit regulation loss club.

Detroit has won three of four games out of the All-Star break and has been playing some inspired hockey. The Red Wings haven’t played in six days though, so one has to wonder if rust will be a factor.
