The Arizona Coyotes and Seattle Kraken meet Wednesday in NHL action at the Climate Pledge Arena. The Arizona Coyotes need a win after losing seven of their last eight games. The Seattle Kraken look for a win after splitting their last 10 games.

The Arizona Coyotes are averaging 2.2 goals per game and are scoring on 12.6 percent of their power play opportunities. Clayton Keller leads Arizona with 17 goals, Phil Kessel has 24 assists and Jakob Chychrun has 103 shots on goal. Defensively, the Arizona Coyotes are allowing 3.7 goals per game and are killing 73 percent of their opponent’s power plays. Scott Wedgewood has given up 54 goals on 554 shots faced, and Karel Vejmelka has given up 83 goals on 855 shots.

The Seattle Kraken are averaging 2.6 goals per game and are scoring on 15.9 percent of their power play opportunities. Jared McCann leads Seattle with 19 goals, Alex Wennberg has 17 assists and Ryan Donato has 97 shots on goal. Defensively, the Seattle Kraken are allowing 3.4 goals per game and are killing 76.1 percent of their opponent’s power plays. Philipp Grubauer has given up 98 goals on 869 shots faced, and Chris Driedger has allowed 32 goals on 306 shots.

The Coyotes are 21-49 in their last 70 road games and 16-46 in their last 62 overall. The Kraken are 3-10 in their last 13 home games and 6-16 in their last 22 overall. The under is 3-0-1 in Coyotes last 4 overall. The under is 4-0 in Kraken last 4 overall.

I’m not running to the window to side with either of these teams, and you can make a case for the Kraken to be favored. The Arizona Coyotes are terrible on the road and things won’t improve on the end of a back to back. With all that said, this line is nuts given the form of both clubs. If forced to pick, I’ll take a free goal with the Coyotes and take my chances. However, this game is a pass for me personally.
