As it turns out, the Los Angeles Lakers are no longer interested in trading for Jerami Grant from the Detroit Pistons. LA was one of the teams that were heavily linked to the Pistons star but apparently, the Lakers have now decided to end their pursuit for Grant.

According to Eric Pincus of Bleacher Report, the primary reason behind the Lakers’ change of heart stems from Grant’s unwillingness to play as a third option behind LeBron James and Anthony Davis:

“I’ve actually heard Lakers have passed on Jerami Grant. He doesn’t want to play a tertiary role behind Bron/AD,” Pincus said on a recent episode of the NBA Chat podcast
