The Memphis Grizzlies have been trying to rebuild for a few NBA seasons and they seem to be actual contenders now. With the trade deadline approach, perhaps they make a big move to further solidify their standing in the Western Conference?

There’s a lot to like about this Grizzlies team as they hold a 27-14 record and are entrenching themselves among the top of the Western Conference. Ja Morant is playing not only an All-Star, but potentially an All-Star starter. Desmond Bane continues to get better and Jaren Jackson Jr. is finding his stride, too.

As the NBA trade deadline, there is one spot the Grizzlies could truly use an upgrade—the center position. Steven Adams is a serviceable option but he has real limitations on both ends.

If this happens, the Indiana Pacers could line up in a deal. This is another team that has been featured in rumors but has not been any to this point. Indiana has plenty of assets they could decide to move in order to reshape the roster.

The Pacers have fallen back in the Eastern Conference standings after being a postseason staple for years. Now, some big names could be moved in order to gain necessary assets needed to rebuild.

Let’s take a closer look at how the Memphis Grizzlies and Indiana Pacers could line up in an NBA trade scenario featuring Myles Turner.

Memphis Grizzlies Receive: C Myles Turner, G/F Jeremy Lamb

Indiana Pacers Receive: F Kyle Anderson, F Brandon Clarke, G De’Anthony Melton, 2022 First Round Pick, 2022 First Round Pick (via UTA)

The Indiana Pacers have plenty of big names that could be on the NBA trade block but Myles Turner might be at the top of the list. With another center in Domantas Sabonis already in the fold, a change could be needed.
