The New England Patriots placed linebackers Matt Judon and Ja’Whaun Bentley on the COVID-19/reserve list on Monday, per the NFL transaction wire. There are scenarios where they could play on Sunday in Week 17 against the Jacksonville Jaguars at Gillette Stadium.
Their status will depend upon whether they are vaccinated or not — and whether they tested positive or were simply a close contact to another COVID-positive person.
While playing 84% of snaps, Judon is leading the Patriots in sacks with 12.5 sacks. He also has 57 tackles. Bentley has 88 tackles and one sack this season on 62% of defensive snaps. They are starters at their respective positions.
