ATP Calendar Betting Analysis for the 2022 Season

The 2021 ATP season has only just finished, yet the global governing body of men’s professional tennis has already released the calendar for the first half of the 2022 ATP season.

With that, the ATP gave us a lot to look forward to, as we can mark our calendars for the best tennis event any sports bettors shouldn’t miss in 2022.

Tennis Betting: 2022 Calendar Rundown

ATP Cup (January 1-9)

The 2022 ATP season will kick off with the ATP Cup, slated for January 1-9. The tournament will feature a 16-team field and be held at Ken Rosewall Arena and Sydney Super Dome in Sydney, Australia.

The first week of action will also feature two ATP 250 events, which run at the Adelaide International and Melbourne Park, parallel to the 2022 ATP Cup.

The second week will welcome the Adelaide International and the Sydney Tennis Classic as a one-off event, which will run alongside the Australian Open qualifiers in Melbourne.

2022 Grand Slams

As always, there will be four Grand Slam tennis tournaments in 2022, starting with the Australian Open on January 17-30 and culminating with the U.S. Open on August 29 – September 11.

Roland Garros French Open

ATP Masters 1000 Events

Although all the eyes will be on the Grand Slam tournaments, 2022 will also feature five ATP Masters 1000 events featuring some of the best tennis players in the world.

The ATP Masters 1000 events will kick off with BNP Paribas Open (also known as Indian Wells) on March 10 and conclude with the Internazionali BNL d’Italia, or Rome Masters on May 8.

Mutua Madrid Open (Madrid Masters)

  • When: April 26 – May 8
  • Where: The Magic Box, Madrid, Spain

Internazionali BNL d’Italia (Rome Masters)

  • When: May 2 – 15
  • Where: Foro Italico, Rome, Italy

ATP 500 and Other Events

The 2022 ATP season will also feature a plethora of smaller events, which includes:

ABM Amro World Tennis Tournament (Rotterdam ATP 500)

Although ATP has yet to reveal dates and venues for all 2022 tennis tournaments, the governing body has provided enough details to know what’s heading our way in the first part of the 2022 season.

More information should become available in the coming months when the organizers have a better idea of when to host the tournaments and whether the situation with the global pandemic will be safe enough to do so.
