Report: Bucs WR Chris Godwin (knee) expected to miss rest of regular season

Bucs Wire

Tampa Bay Buccaneers wide receiver Chris Godwin is expected to miss the remainder of the 2021 regular season due to a sprained MCL in his knee, per NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport.

Godwin suffered the injury on a scary hit during the first half of Sunday night’s ugly 9-0 loss to the New Orleans Saints.

Mike Evans, Leonard Fournette and Lavonte David were also injured for the Bucs on Sunday night, but details on the severity of their injuries are still unclear.

The Bucs can still win the division with any victory or any Saints loss over the final three weeks of the season, and Rapoport says Godwin should be able to return for Tampa Bay in the playoffs.
