Two NFC West Rivals will meet on Sunday, as the Seattle Seahawks will head south to SoFi Stadium in Los Angeles to take on the Los Angeles Rams. Both teams have won two straight games as the Seahawaks are playing for their playoff lives. At 5-8, the Seahawks are on the outside looking in for the playoffs, and another loss at this point in the season would virtually eliminate them from playoff contention. With that in mind, it’s time to see how both teams arrive to this Seahawks vs Rams matchup so you can bet against their NFL Odds.

NFL Betting Preview for Seahawks at LA

A Closer Look

The Rams have a few issues of their own. Like many other teams in the league over the past few days, COVID-19 has hit the Rams hard. The Rams have had as many as 16 players on the list this week. Jalen Ramsey, Odell Beckham Jr., Justin Hollins, Darrell Henderson Jr., and Jordan Fuller are some of the bigger names that are on that list. As of now, many of those players are doubtful to play in this one. If they are fully vaccinated, with two negative tests 24 hours apart, they could then play on Sunday. If they aren’t vaccinated, then they must wait 10 days.

If Ramsey and Beckham are unable to play, those will be the biggest hits that the Rams take. Ramsey is one of the best cornerbacks in the game, and not having him to help stop Tyler Lockett or DK Metcalf will really hurt the Rams defense. Not having Beckham will also be a big loss. Beckham has been very good for the Rams since being acquired. Not having Robert Woods and Beckham will really hurt the Rams offense.

Since coming back from injury, Russell Wilson now looks to be at full strength. He looked like he wasn’t quite ready to return in his first couple of starts, but after two straight wins, Wilson looks like he’s back to normal. Rashaad Penny has taken over in the backfield for the Seahawks, and has looked good since getting a majority of the carries. Without Ramsey, Lockett, Metcalf, and Gerald Everett should be able to get into the open field against a Rams defense that’s missing some key pieces.

As for the Rams, they have momentum heading into this one. They beat the league’s top team on Monday night when they defeated the Arizona Cardinals. Matthew Stafford was finally able to get a big win. Stafford had been criticized over the years for not being able to win important games. Winning on Monday night will give him confidence heading into the playoffs in just a few weeks.

Betting Pick

The Rams started the week as a 7.5-point favorite, but since the news broke about all of the players that may not play on Sunday, the spread has dropped to -4.5. This is a huge game for the Seahawks, as they know a loss will more than likely knock them out of the playoff race. Seattle needs a lot to happen for them to make the playoffs with a win, but with a loss, they’re all but out. We think that the Seahawks will be desperate enough to hang with the Rams. They may not win the game, but if they don’t, the Rams will win by a field goal.
