Notre Dame's 2022 recruiting class is turning heads as it sits at No. 2 in the 247Sports team rankings thanks to 15 four-star commitments. But the Fighting Irish's 2023 class is off to a great start, too, after landing a commitment Sunday from four-star athlete Adon Shuler during a live announcement on CBS Sports HQ.
The No. 242-ranked player in the 2023 class by 247Sports, Shuler chose Notre Dame over Penn State and Maryland to become the third commitment of the Fighting Irish's 2023 class. All three are four-star commitments as coach Brian Kelly continues to enjoy success on the recruiting trail amid a run of four consecutive seasons with double-digit victories.
As a 6-foot-1 speedster who also competes in track, Shuler has the makings of a safety at the next level but could also play other positions, depending on how much he continues to grow.
