The Pittsburgh Steelers are acquiring inside linebacker Joe Schobert in a trade with the Jacksonville Jaguars, according to multiple media reports and confirmed by a Steelers Now

Schobert, 27, is a Wisconsin alum and was a fourth-round pick of the Cleveland Browns in 2016. After four seasons in Cleveland, Schobert joined the Jaguars on a five-year, $53.75 million free agent contract.

Schobert started all 16 games in each of the last two seasons and has played in a total of 77 games in his career, with 65 starts. He’s been his team’s primary starter as a middle linebacker in each of the last four seasons.
