Gabe Brown tests positive for COVID-19, Michigan State still plans to return on Thursday

Michigan Live

Michigan State has seen a fifth player test positive for COVID-19 in less than three weeks but is still planning to return to game action later this week.

Spartans junior Gabe Brown has tested positive for the virus, Spartans coach Tom Izzo announced on Tuesday. Izzo didn’t give a specific date for his positive test but said he expects Brown back by “early February.”

Despite that positive test, Michigan State still plans to play its Thursday game at Rutgers as scheduled, Izzo said.
