NFL Draft 2020 invitees must adhere to strict dress code

New York Post

The normal days of extravagant suits never seemed so simple.

NFL prospects will be watching the draft from the comfort of their own homes this year, but not necessarily in the comfort of whatever clothes they want. The NFL issued a memo to the 58 players who will participate in the virtual draft, and it includes a strict dress code that essentially shuts down anyone who was planning on sending a message or picking up a few advertising bucks with his draft-night outfit.

The guidelines, according to the memo that was obtained by Pro Football Talk, run the full spectrum of overly controlling to obvious to obscure.

Chief among them are no “third-party logos,” except for NFL partners Nike, Adidas, Under Armour and New Era. Prospects cannot wear apparel from other sports leagues, either.
