The St. Louis Blues have re-signed forward Sammy Blais to a two-year extension with a cap hit of $1.5 million. This deal comes after Blais signed a one-year contract last summer.
Sammy Blais Signs Two-Year Extension
Some were concerned with how a Blais contract would turn out for the Blues. The 23-year-old forward has shown glimpses of great, reliable play but hasn’t managed to play more than 40 games in a season; a knock he set this year. He was held to less than half the season as a result of an injury suffered in November. The injury required him to get surgery, leaving him on injured reserve for two months out of the year.
