Texas Tech landed one of the top recruits in the nation in Prolific Prep (Napa, CA) senior guard Nimari Burnett, who announced his commitment to Texas Tech on Tuesday. The 6-foot-3, 185-pound combo guard is rated as the No. 22 overall recruit in the nation and the No. 5 combo guard in the country for the 2020 class according to the 247Sports Composite, an average of rankings from the major recruiting services.

Not only is Burnett, a Chicago native, one of the top-rated recruits in America for this recruiting cycle, but if he does ink with the Red Raiders during the basketball early signing period later this week as expected, he'll be the highest-rated recruit to ever sign with Texas Tech, supplanting Jahmi'us Ramsey who signed with Tech just last class and was rated No. 32.

He's highly rated, but what type of player is Texas Tech getting in Burnett?
