2019 NFL Week 6 Over/Under Betting Picks

Other than the Monday night game, which will see the Cleveland Browns and the San Francisco 49ers lock horns, we are all done and dusted with Week 5 of the season. As always seems to be the case in the NFL, we had out usual slew of surprises, with the biggest of those perhaps being the Indianapolis Colts handing the Kansas City Chiefs their first loss of the season. It’s time now to look ahead to NFL Week 6 to see if we can track down some other potential upsets that might add some more money to the bankroll.

We have covered some of those in our SU and ATS picks, but for the purposes of this piece, we are going to look at Week 6 O/U selections, so let’s get right to it.

New York Giants at New England Patriots (OVER 44)

While the Giants are still making a habit out of losing, the bright side is that they appear to have found their QB of the future in Daniel James. The Giants still have a lot to do to get better, but at least they have parts to build around with James and Saquon Barkley.

The Patriots are doing their usual job of winning every week and they should be able to extend their win streak this season to 6 in this one. I think that the point total here is rather low, and while 5 of the last 7 meetings between these two have come up short, I think this one goes OVER.

NFL Week 6 Betting Trends

  • The total has gone OVER in 5 of NY Giants’ last 6 games played on a Thursday
  • The total has gone OVER in 6 of New England’s last 7 games played in week 6

Cincinnati Bengals at Baltimore Ravens (UNDER 48)

The Raven seized control of the AFC North with an OT win over the Steelers on Sunday, but it was a game that they were perhaps a little fortunate to win, going against a Steelers teams who ended up reduced to playing their 3rd string QB.

While the over has been trending for the Ravens, the same cannot be said for Cincinnati. You wonder just how much offense they are going to be able to conjure up against a good Baltimore D. Their offensive woes help keep this one UNDER.

NFL Week 6 Betting Trends

  • The total has gone UNDER in 4 of Cincinnati’s last 6 games
  • The total has gone OVER in 4 of Baltimore’s last 5 games against an opponent in the AFC North division

Atlanta Falcons at Arizona Cardinals (OVER 52)

Both of these teams have only won a single game each this season, but it is the Diamondbacks who were the only one of the two expected to be in that position at this stage of the season. Quite frankly, the Falcons have looked awful on their way to an 1-4 record, with the defense as porous as Swiss cheese.

The Falcons are favorites for NFL Week 6 against the Cardinals.

While the Cardinals are just 1-3-1, they need to be pleased with the play of rookie QB Kyler Murray. He may have some fun against that Falcons D on Sunday, and when you consider that Atlanta has seen 7 of their last 8 games versus NFC West opponents go OVER, you have a straightforward pick.

NFL Week 6 Betting Trends

  • The total has gone OVER in 7 of Atlanta’s last 8 games against an opponent in the NFC West division
  • The total has gone OVER in 6 of Arizona’s last 8 games against Atlanta

Tennessee Titans at Denver Broncos in NFL Week 6 (UNDER 38 ½)

While the Tennessee offense has had their moments this season, you just never really know what you are going to get from this team on any given Sunday.

Similarly, the Broncos have had some serious issues on the offensive side of the football, although they are coming off their first win of the season. Everything here points to a low-scoring game, with the Titans seeing 4 of their last 5 go UNDER, while the Broncos have had that same outcome in 12 of their last 14 games.

NFL Week 6 Betting Trends

  • The total has gone UNDER in 5 of Tennessee’s last 5 games against an opponent in the AFC West division
  • The total has gone UNDER in 8 of Denver’s last 9 games at home
