  • Charles Leclerc +185
  • Sebastian Vettel +275
  • Valtteri Bottas +550
  • Max Verstappen +1600

What are Lewis Hamilton’s true chances of winning the 2019 Russian Grand Prix?

Hamilton offers favorite’s odds again even though he lost the Belgium GP and the Italian GP. In Belgium, Hamilton finished second to Leclerc. In Italy, Hamilton finished fourth behind Vettel, Leclerc, and Max Verstappen. Hamilton did beat Valtteri Bottas and Sebastian Vettel last year.

But, Charles Leclerc has thrown a major wrench into Formula 1. What was true last season is turning out not to be so true this season. Hamilton looked unbeatable up until 3 races ago. Since then, Ferrari has dominated Mercedes with Leclerc taking two races and Vettel taking the last race.

Hamilton is no longer a slam dunk to win. That makes him an underlay at +175 to take the Russian Grand Prix.

Which Ferrari driver, Charles Leclerc or Sebastian Vettel, has the best chance of winning the Russian Grand Prix?

Good question. Leclerc beat his more accomplished teammate in Belgium and in Italy. Vettel go the better of Leclerc in Singapore. But, it’s not like Charles Leclerc finished dead last. He finished second to Vettel.

That’s enough to give Charles Leclerc the edge over Sebastian Vettel to win in Sochi. There’s one caveat to all this, odds. Leclerc offers extremely low odds while Sebastian Vettel, who finished third in this race last year, offers much fairer odds. If you’re odds conscious, go for Vettel. If you want to back the driver among the two that has best shot of winning, go for Leclerc.

Who should bettors consider to win the Russian Grand Prix between Valtteri Bottas and Max Verstappen?

Verstappen finished third at the Singapore Grand Prix. The best he could do in Russia in 2018 was finish fifth. He finished fifth in Sochi in 2017 as well.

Valtteri Bottas finished second behind teammate Hamilton last year. In 2017, Bottas won this race. The odds difference between the two make backing Max Verstappen attractive. However, Bottas loves the Sochi Autodrom. So, he’s the pick between the two.
