Seven Mississippi State football players will miss Louisiana-Lafayette game for violation of team rules

Clarion Ledger

Mississippi State isn't at full-strength for its season opener against Louisiana today.

The following Bulldogs are out for a "violation of team rules."

Senior defensive tackle Lee Autry

Junior kicker Jace Christmann

Junior linebacker Willie Gay Jr.

Sophomore receiver Devonta Jason

Freshman offensive lineman Kwatrivous Johnson

Sophomore safety Marcus Murphy

Senior offensive lineman Michael Story

A Mississippi State spokesperson would not expound on specifics of the violations each player committed.

A week ago, Mississippi State reached a negotiated resolution with the NCAA concerning academic impropriety. A tutor took tests and completed assignments for 10 MSU football players.
