Manchester United midfielder Paul Pogba regrets his decision not to force through a move to Real Madrid this summer. The Frenchman made an early play for the Old Trafford exit when he admitted he wanted a ‘new challenge’ during a commercial tour of Asia in June.
However, United refused to listen to offers for the midfielder and Real Madrid failed to produce a bid deemed in any way acceptable for the club. Mino Raiola, Pogba’s agent, gave a series of interviews in which he stated the midfielder’s desire to leave while Pogba’s brother has also talked up a move to Real Madrid.
However, Pogba has remained professional and did not hand in a transfer request. And AS claim that the Frenchman now regrets his diplomacy as he’s seen his chances of a dream move to Real Madrid fade away for at least another year. The European transfer window closes on September 2nd and United will not countenance losing Pogba when they are unable to sign a replacement.
