Trevor Bauer sticking to plan to sign only one-year contracts

Larry Brown Sports

If the Cincinnati Reds are hoping to get newly-acquired pitcher Trevor Bauer to commit to the organization long-term, it sounds like they’re going to be disappointed.

Bauer reaffirmed his desire to sign only one-year contracts for the rest of his career, saying Monday that he wanted to do so to ensure he could pitch for a contender on an annual basis.

Bauer is serious about maximizing his ability to win a championship, even if the decision will cost him long-term security.
