Kawhi Leonard is often a man of few words and that reputation remained intact during his final act as a member of the Toronto Raptors.
Leonard, who joined the Los Angeles Clippers, while turning down offers from the Raptors and Los Angeles Lakers, informed Toronto head coach Nick Nurse of his decision in typical, concise fashion.
“I'm going home,” Leonard texted Nurse, according to ESPN’s Jackie MacMullan.
Nurse was in Las Vegas at the time, watching a Prince impersonator. It didn’t seem to adversely affect him, as it was common knowledge that Leonard could leave after the 2018-19 season upon being traded last summer from the San Antonio Spurs.
