Miami Dolphins defensive tackle Kendrick Norton, a former University of Miami standout, was involved in a serious car accident late Wednesday night that was labeled career-ending.

Sources tell the South Florida Sun Sentinel he is in critical condition at the Miami Jackson Memorial trauma unit, but his injuries are not believed to be life-threatening. Norton was involved in a multiple-car accident that featured a vehicle rolling over.
